•ÈÀ•ÈÀKrzysztof Rapsa, painter and graphic artist, lives and creates in Koszalin, Poland. His painting, a realm of artistic fantasy, conjures up a magical world, a world of free associations of ideas. The artist‰۪s adventure with colour has led him through a number of exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In Seoul, where he had an individual exhibition, he was proclaimed the ‰Û÷poet of colour‰۪ and the most renown specialist art magazines posted rave reviews qualifying Rapsa to the world forefront abstract painters. Rapsa‰۪s exhibition in the prestige Jang Sun Gallery made this contemporary abstractionist the best-known Polish painter in South Korea. In 2012 in Seoul he received honorary mention and was the only foreign artist invited to the Festival of Korean Art. In reward for his artistic achievements he received a number of prizes, i.e. an award at the European Painting Competition ‰ÛÏHues of the Sea‰ and the Era-Art award at the VI International Biennale of Painting and Tapestry in Gdynia. His works also featured in the film ‰ÛÏFortunately there is Art‰. Rapsa‰۪s paintings have been used in film and TV productions, such as Korean television TV KBS and while the Polish feature film ‰ÛÏAntitherapy‰ was shot. Rapsa‰۪s works have appeared in many publications, and he designed a number of book covers. His paintings are housed in many contemporary art galleries and museums as well as in private collections both at home and abroad, for example in Mrs Park Geun-hye‰۪s, the President of South Korea, collection.
